Say Hello to the Cheese Zombie…. CHEEEEEEESE

Hello,

My name is Fawker… and I have a confession to make. I am a Cheese Zombie. Rather than eating Braaaains (which let’s face it, do not taste like chicken) I crave Cheese. Mmmm ooey gooey goodness. Cheddar, Mozzarella, Marble, Brick, Bri, Cream Cheese, Light, Medium, and yes even some old. It’s so delish!

I have a problem.

I am trying to think of a dish that I do not add cheese to. It’s really rather hard. I mean I don’t add cheese to cereal, or on toast.. So I guess I’ve got breakfast covered. But when it comes to supper, I add cheese to everything I can think of. Spaghetti, bruchetta, tacos, fajitas, stir-fry, soup, meat and potatoes, meat and rice, and of course, my one true weakness… Nachos. I add cheese to all the things.  It’s tasty.

And my butt really shows it LOL.

Help me think of things I can do to wean myself off of Cheese.  I don’t want to go cold turkey… Nor do I want to give it up for good. Hell it’s too delish to ever give up for good… but I would like to stop using it on everything. How do you cook without cheese? What do you like making that involved no cheese whatsoever and how do you make it? Please email/comment some ideas/recipes to me and I will try a cheese free week if I can come up with enough dishes.

If y’all are willing to help, when I run out of cheese I will try a cheese free week and see how I feel. I think if I can somehow control this addiction and learn how to not put it on everything; I will be happier and healthier in the long run.

Who wants to try a cheese free week with me? We’ll call it a challenge for Project #PLOT

  • Try enjoying your meals without cheese. Enjoy the taste of the meal you made and not the taste of the meal you made hidden under cheese. Experiment with spices to add new flavours to your meats or stirfrys. Let you meals stand on their own and let cheese be a side dish if you really need it.
